My last entry was almost 2 weeks ago-- I have two weeks and two weekends to try to save from possible oblivion. I will start with what occupies my mind: the PA Renaissance Faire which I got back from 6 hours ago.

What is this possible oblivion? The LiveJournal FAQ says they don't turn off accounts for inactivity. Or did I misunderstand?

The latter. One use of a journal is to save the events of life from being forgotten-- to actually acknowledge the "trival" actions in everyday life as central to who we become. As much as I forget those two weeks when I didn't write, I lose a part of myself. It's an inevitable process, but not one I want to encourage.
